Benevolence
Benevolence Appeal update
Thank you for your continued contribution to making the Masonicare Benevolence Appeal such a success.

Over the years, Masonicare's Benevolence Programme has been there for Brethren and their families in times of difficulty, some no doubt in your very own lodge.

We are asking you to please be generous and give to the 'Masonicare Benevolence Fund Appeal', so that Brethren and their families can always turn to masoniCare's Benevolence Fund in times of financial need and hardship.

HandsFollowing is an example of how the Benevolence Fund has helped one 'masonic' family:-

"Firstly let me apologise for taking so long to extend my thanks to you and your colleagues assisting me with costs involved with my husband's funeral; it certainly did alleviate the mental anguish involved around that time.

When Bill was first introduced to Masonic Lodge little did we know the wonderful journey ahead.

I was able to witness his self-confidence expand and grow enabling him to become Lodge Master twice over. His ability to gather around him a group of men willing to give of their time and knowledge to help him along the way is testimony to his thirst for knowledge of his chosen task. I will always be grateful to these men helping Bill to become a Freemason with integrity.

I am also very thankful as Bill has introduced me, through his Lodge, to a group of people that have become very important to me; extended family so to speak; wonderful memories; what a great legacy! " Bill's wife.

An idea for a charitable initiative in the lead-up to Christmas might be for Worshipful Masters, at their Christmas meetings or functions, to encourage a donation from their members to the Benevolence Appeal, an opportunity to help our brethren in need.

Donations can be made to any Masonicare Caring Officer (mCO) in your lodge, or directly to Masonicare via our website (www.masonicare.org.au), mail or in person.
