Vision - To promote and uphold the Masonic Principle of Charity and heighten public awareness of Freemasonry's commitment to the community.
Mission - To develop and deliver a range of charitable activities designed to improve the lives of those in our community, enrich an individual's experience in Freemasonry and to publicly demonstrate 'Freemasons In Action'.
masoniCare is the operating name for the charitable arm of Freemasonry in NSW and ACT.
Founded in 1888, the United Grand Lodge of NSW and ACT now has approximately 20,000 members who share a common belief in community values such as brotherly love, goodwill and charity.
masoniCare is the vehicle through which Freemasonry upholds these core principles. Being the official Masonic charity, it is essential that our charitable activities serve as a fitting demonstration of 'Freemasons In Action'.
To achieve this, masoniCare raises funds through various initiatives which enable us to support our charitable activities.
Over the years, Freemasonry has been no stranger to charitable work. In addition to masoniCare, other Masonic Charities have made a lasting impression on the Australian Public. They include the Frank Whiddon Masonic Homes, NSW Masonic Youth Welfare Fund, NSW Freemason's Orphans Society, NSW Masonic Auxiliary and the Royal Freemason's Benevolent Institution. While these Masonic Charities operate independently of masoniCare, we fully endorse the great work that they do.
